Seriously? Did you even try to understand what you were doing with this? 7.0 is not production release code. This was self inflicted unfortunately. I would suggest starting over after reading some basic installation materials and stick with 6.x...
7.0 is a test kernel, not an enterprise kernel atm, so if you are okay with breakages you use this kernel. If not, you usually pay for enterprise subscription.
Why would you be angry on a company giving you a test repo?
This is explained in the documentation, see https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#_ports_used_by_proxmox_ve and https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#pve_firewall_default_rules
Hey,
1. not quite, for vnets the the firewall attaches to the bridge FORWARD hook, so there is no separate IN/OUT. So it will filter everything that goes through the bridge, this can be east-west traffic between guests on the same vnet, but also...

I am glad you found the vm disk and it is running again.
Btw. why did you create these <node>-SSD entries in the storage configuration at all? Assuming each node provides the default LVM-Thinpool anyway, you're not gaining anything from that. If...
hello guys
some questions related to firewall (because i put my cluster already offline of a wrong firewall rule)
i have proxmox, 4 nodes, with 2 sdn 2 vnets, in one of the vnets are 2 vlan networks (no subnet - it doesnt work, i dont know...
You should be good now, I have 4 x Lenovo ThinkCentre M715q devices in a mini cluster where those on old firmware also locked up constantly, especially when idle.
Pity I didn't see this thread earlier, herewith more detail as to what the issue...
You obviously have a HW issue related to power draw & apparently do not have an adequate UPS/protection in place.
It can be assumed that this sudden host shutdown has caused corruption.
I would first deal with the HW side of things before moving...
Today, we announce the availability of a new archive CDN dedicated to the long-term archival of our old and End-of-Life (EOL) releases.
Effective immediately, this archive hosts all repositories for releases based on Debian 10 (Buster) and older...
yes, we indeed uploaded a proxmox-kernel-7.0.0-2-pve-signed package to circumvent this versioning "issue", over adapting the simpler ordering algorithms of the proxmox-boot-tool. As while the versions were correctly ordered from the POV of apt...
Hi all, I've been using Proxmox for a bit over a year and I recently moved to a new house. Apparently while i have been at work, my Proxmox server has been tripping the breaker and restarting. I never had any issues with the host until one day I...
This is problematic - 7.0.0-3 is now a recommended update, and yet it breaks the networking on Ubuntu 25.10 VM. 24.04 LTS is not effected. I haven't done extensive testing, but the Network Manager is failing to start on boot (will start up...
Sure. But first tier providers also sometimes do not so smart stuff. That argumentum ad verecundiam is not that strong IMHO. Some would probably even argue that Synology is first tier and look what they do with BTRFS ;)
Simply because it has no...
Although it seems that today, I'm on Proxmox VE 9.19 & the 7.0.0-3 kernel is available as the "default" on the non-enterprise repo.
I guess your statement only applies to the enterprise repo?
When the feature to notify users by email if they have emails held in quarantine is activated, by default it sends notifications to all domains and all users who have quarantined emails.
My need is to ignore one of the domains and not send to it...
The storage setup seems quirky to me with locally backed LVM accessible for multiple nodes.
Nevertheless, what I would do first:
Login to each of the nodes and check with lvs command which is holding the vm disk. If found, move conf-file of the...
Hi fba,
I followed your instructions and it worked! I now have the ability to start-up the desired vm and access the system. Now I just need to find the safest way to remove all the complication and bring it back to a single server.
Thank you...
