Hi,
The issue with pinging is normal - I mean 169. are link local addresses and the stack doesn't know which interface to use unless you specify it explicitely.
Given that the Ubuntu VM with SR-IOV also gets bad IOPS, but Windows clients are...
Hey, I have a question about the EoL of PVE 8.
Is it truly the same as the Debian End of Regular Support or are there a few additional Months to it? Because the end of the Regular Support of Debian 12 is 2026-06-10 and not 2026-08. See...

If you have a VLAN-aware bridge then it is sufficient to just leave it as is and use the respective VLAN tag at the network device of the VM / Container. If you want the host to have an IP in that VLAN as well, then you configure it the same way...
Hey all,
Was pulling my hair out over this for the past 12 hours. Thought it was bad sata/power cables, swapped those out to no avail, so I thought it was a bad SSD, even though SMART score was fine. Went to Best Buy and got a new SSD. Much to my...
qm is a local command-line tool. It is installed on the Proxmox host itself and not exposed as a network service. To use it, you need to log in to the Proxmox host, usually via SSH, and run the command there, just as you would with any other...
Hello,
I am opening a forum discussion because I am experiencing an issue with the Proxmox cluster in my environment.
Indeed, I installed Proxmox VE 9.1.6 on each node and everything went very smoothly, right up until the cluster was created...

Hello Proxmox Community,
I'm currently running a virtual tape library (Quadstor VTL, extended with deduplication) in my homelab, primarily for personal use with Bacula. I'm now looking into expanding my backup solution, or potentially...
All,
I'm excited to announce a new release of the unofficial VDI client for Proxmox VE (v3.0.0)!
New features:
New look and feel! (Replaced PySimpleGUI with customtkinter)

Hello Sinevil,
We have a similar problem than you. Our previous installations worked fine, using the same equipment and the same connection, but know, we have the same errors than you.
We've tried a variety of troubleshooting steps in every...
I'm new to proxmox (and like it :-)), but now want to version my cluster setup (bunch of VM's /w specific confs). To this purpose i'm searching for a cli tool to manage my VM's (which appears to be qm).
Now I get stuck on following:
1) How do i...
Hi,
I have 2 PBS each on separate site, lets say A and B. All datastores are synced between them but i have missing chunk on a fresh synced datastore on B pulled from A, on a specific snapshot.
It seem B dosent try to pull missing chunk if i...
OK, yes that does kinda fit and sound about right to me.. so I should wipe the Scratch drive and let ProxMox do everything instead of me manually doing it.. OK, lets give that a try... Or should I now try to just mount it?
EDIT : So I just...
