I had a backup of Home Assistant OS so i just did a new one. but when i run LVS they are all still there. but i have not been able to recover my Ubiquiti Controller and my backup was 6 months old but i did install the new UniFi Server OS as a VM...
I like this approach because Proxmox does a lot better job with NIC drivers, especially things like Realtek, than BSD does. Also changing hardware in proxmox is a lot easier this way.
Tell us about your hardware. Especially Proxmox. How many NICs do you have installed/available? I find if you want to run OPNsense (or in my case, the very similar pfSense) the easiest rout is if you have 2-4 NICs available. It can certainly be...
Hi, @kransom
If you have or can have a monitor (I mean a physical display) connected to the server, there may be some errors displayed on it when for any reason the system isn't already able to log anything to the files.
The fix is in process:

For now a downgrade of pvemanager to 9.0.12 was the solution. Apparently there is a single line change that invokes a JS feature implemented in Firefox 130+ (hence my ESR115 doesn't work).

ohhhh, ok didn't understand that. I actually see the "required for self signed certificates" after clearing the fingerprint. Well that's easy enough then thank you.
Hi whatishappening,
I ran into that as well after configuring LE. The fingerprint is mandatory when lacking 'real' certificates.
Once your nodes have LE certs, you can leave the fingerprint empty.
It is the iSCSI target that advertises the portals (where IPs are asigned). The iSCSI Target is the TrueNAS, so its the TrueNAS that informs the Initiator (PVE) about possible connection options (Portals).
Your situation is described as one of...
Tbh if you are not familiar with PVE and VMs it will be a lot easier with a separate router. For instance if you have a PVE issue you may not have Internet to resolve it.
Are you passing through this NIC to the VM? If not I would be very...
With your current utilization, I estimate around 12 hours, assuming you have a decent node-interconnect (25G / 40G / 100G)
That's actually a tricky question. Since Ceph Nautilus, if you have default settings, Option 1) or 2) will not really make...

Yes, we're running this for many years without any problem. ZFS on ZFS can be a problem performancewise, but will technically work without a problem. With this setup you seperated both adequately and can manage everything directly in the VM, have...
