Hey @liferollson91,
Thank you for commenting on the bug report, I hope they will do something with it. I know @szoran made it work, sadly I'm not comfortable enough with doing kernel stuff myself. I don't understand the code and there is some...
I recommend against using Dell's hardware RAID for your homelab. Flash IT firmware in that PERC and use pass-through mode on the BOSS card.
Install Proxmox in ZFS mirror (raid1) on these 2x 240GB drives (don't use BOSS RAID).
ZFS mirror (RAID1)...
Yes replication only works with zfs. You shouldn't combine it with HW raid though and shouldn't use RAIDZ for vm storage, see this writeup by UdoB for reference:

Hello all,
Need some advise on my setup. I am not sure if I have setup it correctly. I am unsure if this pihole, ubiquiti or ME issue. :D
I was trying to use one NIC to host multiple VLANS and register devices into pihole. This works for IoT...
Can you clarify, did you build DIY type storage servers that are running some sort of Linux and organizes the storage with ZFS internally?
This is not an appliance type SAN?
And these two storage servers are independent of each other...
Thank you for sharing, @Hank42.
In your post #25, it stood out to me that you mentioned holding some packages while upgrading others. In general, this is not a good idea. The various components of the system are interconnected, and partial...
Hey @berryblast. Yeah I re-commented on the bug pointing to szoran's comments and his guthub page documenting all the patches and changes he made in order to get his working. I too did not have anything like "Kernel DMA Protection" in my BIOS...
do you have "pictures"?
Here are screenshots from my main PVE:

hi, thanks for your reply, and sorry for my late reply
the reason i manually edited the VM config file is there is more than 50 vm running in the cluster, and manually changing there mtu value going to each vm is time consuming and repeatitave...
I'm selecting Advanced Options => Install Proxmox VE (Terminal UI, DebugMode).
Yes, I can create /tmp/RESCUE and carry on from there, except there is no /dev/pve to mount, so I'm not sure exactly what shell I'm running in and which one I should...
Thank you for the explanation.
I assumed the "stop mode" in vzdump was a "clean stop", allowing a "cold backup" during a night window.
What I don't understand is why by specifying "--mode stop" it is still possible to connect to the VM being...

You may have to live with the current deployment time until a technical solution is implemented to address this limitation. There may be something on the horizon, but I do not have visibility into the development priorities of Proxmox Server...
Hello,
thanks for the question!
Thats two PowerEdge R760xs with 8x 1,8TB SAS SSD for the storage, 2x 80GB for the system on a PERC H965i raid controller. The server has a two port Broadcom Adv. Dual 25Gb Ethernet (Fiber). I hope that is helpful...
Hi,
[/SPOILER]
I have noticed a significant loss in IOPS and a noticeable increase in latency whenever ZFS is used, regardless of whether I am using a single disk or RAID 10.
RAW Disk or RAID 1, when used without ZFS, performs much...
We have a number of OCP servers, specifically Quanta Leopard ORv2-DDR4, that we're trying to install PVE on. The issue that we're having is that the servers don't have any sort of graphical console whatsoever. The only console access is via...
