Dear community,
I've only just started using Proxmox. The installation of Proxmox went well. But after that... Installing OMV gave me headaches and some unsuccessful attempts.
Can you give me some tips on what the structure should look like...
PBS is running as a VM on a different hypervisor (Synology NAS).
PBS VM is using the NAS disks directly to write the backups to.
The PVE is another physical machine, connected over 10Gbe to the Synology NAS.
The PVE is running of an NVMe.

Tim
So you accidentally ordered a PVE license instead of PBS? I would try to mail to the office@proxmox.com adress and asking whether you can swap the subscriptions after paying the additional fee (since PBS cost more than PVE).
Ok, is the PBS on the same host or on another? How is the network and storage configured? What kind of datastore are you using (local, network share, s3...)?
Hi everyone ! I tried to use my beelink as a server on one side, and a TV interface on the other.
I tried to passthrought the hdmi audio to my VM , without success.
Idk what can help you, so there is some keypointwhich seem coherent to show...
The 6 is a typo. To login, I was remoted into another computer, and then connecting to the console... I ended up typing it in manually. I have confirmed that it is 192.168.3.1
The changes have allowed me to access the GUI from computers joined...

Hello all,
I am currently struggling with setting up a openfabric network across 3 nodes.
One fabric is always showing not ok and will not get up but it is not always the same one.
So the fabric between 1 and 2 is working and 3 is not getting...
Are you actually running PBS Version 2.2? It's out of support so I would upgrade to at least the latest PBS3 or PBS Version. I wouldn't expect that an outdates PBS can backup the current PVE Release.

You might try not-host. There are a few threads like https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/cpu-type-host-is-significantly-slower-than-x86-64-v2-aes.159107/ but I thought it was for more recent versions than 2019.
Just something to think about. I observe similar patterns with my Docker LCX.
However, in my case, it's completely explainable. Motioneye runs there alongside many other services. The darker the night, the less network data comes from the...
UdoB,
Thanks for your response. I am using Enterprise Class drives in my current setup and happy to hear I don't need to spend a stupid amount of money for more drives.
I am an IT Systems Engineer by profession and home hobby. PVE is the most...
