Thanks for the reply. So I downloaded the latest linux-firmware from git and extracted the latest xe firmware to /lib/firmware file. So far havent had any issues with vm crashing for a week now.
Interestingly, updating the kernel will remove the...
It looks like you run into the bug reported here: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7271
Feel free to chime in there!
To temporarily downgrade pve-container you can run apt install pve-container=6.0.18
I'm just curious if anyone can share any experience about external PCIe devices (particularly GPU) over SFF-8654?
My Asrock Rack ROMED8 2-T only has full x16 slots and many GPUs such as the Intel ARC B50 are electrical x8.
In addition, a duo...
Hi - sorry, this is perhaps a very stupid question.
The data I show is "fake" - my original key looks simliar, but different.
When I created the entry for the proxmox backup server in my pce, I let the system generate the key. afterwards I took...
As above - just got mine today. A very tight fit in my compact precision!
When i do an lspci -v i cant see the card...has anyone else done this yet??
Cheers.
Safe? Very likely. PVE is basically a superset of Debian, with lvm-thin and zfs and a nice web UI + community. PDM should be part of your rollout.
When you get a chance, if it's Prod - buy support / licenses. And regardless, have backups. PBS (I...
The very clear and ultimate answer is of course: it depends!
If you have enough experience to administrate a Debian server consistently and continuously over years, including disaster recovery, then you may go that route. (And use a single...

At https://packages.debian.org/forky/amd64/zfsutils-linux/filelist I can see there are /usr/bin/zarcstat and /usr/bin/zarcsummary
Maybe those were renamed in the newer version?
What about man zarcstat ?
P.S.

LVM is a block type storage , there are no files or directories. If you follow one of many guides, including the one I posted earlier, PVE will be able to slice and dice pieces of overall LVM...

I should have said, I did upgrade not only on the kernel package, here are the packages that have changed:
Start-Date: 2026-02-05 17:10:27
Commandline: apt dist-upgrade -y -qq
Install: libzfs7linux:amd64 (2.4.0-pve1, automatic)...
Hi, @Taylan
AFAICS, arcstat and arc_summary are parts of zfsutils-linux package, not of kernel packages.
So upgrading just kernel shouldn't remove them.
What is the exact symptom you are observing?
Isn't zfsutils-linux package installed...
I think we're in business! I do appreciate your hand-holding on this! :)
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise on this.
