JIf you deleted the vm, the snapshot volumes are deleted too. Nothing to restore the vm from then.

Update: Since disabling Direct I/O, we haven’t seen a single dio_verify_wr error and no io-error. It looks like this change resolved the issue : zfs set direct=disabled Since this effectively bypasses newer ZFS features, should this be reported... -
