move the file (delete the vm config on source node) to be sure to not restart it again on old01 by mistake, when it's running on NEW01, or you'll break your vm filesystem -

No need to apologize, I am glad I am not alone. I haven't been able to find a fix or workaround and like you, I have reverted back to Fedora 42. I ran Ubuntu LXCs prior to this and their distro-upgrades were fine albeit they were point releases... -
