Hi there,
is it possible to disable the sdn feature completly?
I would like to have my own custom frr configuration not merged with sdn settings.
I don't want SDN to change things since what i need is more complex then what can be setup via sdn.
Hi @Tomm , not without you providing actual output from the system. Since you said you do not have network access to the server, are you manually typing the configuration into the forum?
At the very least, we would need:
cat...
Hi @bbgeek17,
thank you for your reply. Today I tried your suggestion but it didn't worked out.
I changed the /etc/network/interfaces to:

iface lo inet loopback
iface enp100s0f0np0 inet manual...
Hi,
Thank you for the detailed explanation and for sharing your field-tested procedure.
Before we communicate this back to the customer, we just want to double-check with the Proxmox community:
Is this manual cleanup approach (Safe Mode...
what about zram for swap alternative?
it is discouraged here https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Zram
but in zfs community it is currently recommended as alternative to swap on zvol : https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues/7734#issuecomment-3723591151
Hello together,
I am using Proxmox PVE 9.1.4 with a Lenovo ThinkStation P330 / M920q. It is equipped with an Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (7) I219-LM (rev 10) network card. Proxmox/Debian automatically uses the e1000e driver. I am now...
I am looking into moving my VM storage to a NAS and am curious as to what texhnology people were using. Additionally, what drives (HDD/SSD/NVMe) are you using as well as connectivity ( 1G/2.5G/10G/10G+).
Here I am, so from the tests I've done, I'm having a slow hard drive access problem. When I try to run a small query, it takes 5 seconds. However, if I run the same query while it's saving a 15GB file to another folder on the same disk, it takes...
I assume this is a Linux guest right?
If you run ps -auxwf for example, you have the STAT column. If a process is in D state, it is waiting for IO to finish. See man 1 ps in the PROCESS STATE CODES section.
If a process is in that state you...
Hi everyone. I've used proxmox 8.4 at least for a year, then the NVMe of my mini pc decided it was time to kill itself. I performed backups of all my LXCs and VMs every day so I was feeling confident. Since there was a new version of proxmox I...
Same here - brand new installed server with proxmox 9.1.4.
After rebooting, commands like "qm list" are very fast - like ~0,7 seconds.
But the longer the uptime, the slower the commands become.
Uptime 3 days:
time qm list

Hi,
have you tried using the -P switch to start multiple, parallel streams? Commonly this is due to the host being CPU-bound.
Additionally, you can check whether NIC hardware-offloading is available and/or enabled, that can also help when the...

ok thx... can the nodes really ping each other? please double-check. is there a firewall somewhere that might block some ports, e.g., corosync ports? eventually having a look into the respective journals of the two nodes within a specific...
Hmm.. I thought the 4 GiB was already reserved for the OS, Proxmox services, and emulation, which is why it is no longer accessible, and the remaining are for VMs to use.
