JEigentlich ist Standard die Normaleinstellung. Insofern ist das richtig. Du kannst in den Filtern explizit Ports von außen öffnen, die auf eine bestimmte Maschine in deinem Netzwerk verweisen.

Da dein Windows eh weniger RAM Verbrauch anzeigt, ist das alles Caching. Natürlich kann es auch sein, dass dein Speicher nicht super schnell ist und während des Backups muss Windows etwas mehr Caching betreiben. -

Nutzt du die Application Aware Funktion? Da wird ein Veeam Agent temporär in der VM gestartet und da der auch gern RAM als Cache nutzt, könnte es daher kommen.

Ich habe mal die Methode mit minimaler Downtime über NFS entwickelt. Die ist seit 2 Jahren auch im Wiki dokumentiert. Diese Methode nutze ich sehr oft und migriere auch VMs mit mehreren TB, mit nur einem Reboot.

Bei vSphere7 ist die API sehr langsam. Da kann man nicht viel machen, als vorher auf vSphere8 upzudaten oder die Anleitung mit minimaler Downtime aus dem Wiki befolgen.

Jyou are using pcie passthrough. minimum and maximum memory doesnt make sense there as the host reserves the full 16gb anyway (see host memory usage on your screenshot). what happens if you set min and max both to 16gb?

JWith ballooning the memory is usually given slowly and on demand. With PCI(e) passthrough ballooning doesn't really work though. Can you share the node's Summary too?

JAs @Impact said, the mirror is probably what you're looking for. If you still want to send the zvol (VM disk) to a different location, then you can use the pve-zsync (separate package in the proxmox repo).
