Jjdancer replied to the thread H740p mini and SAS Intel SSD PX05SMB040.As I mentioned before, so much drama with PERC controllers in HBA-mode. Just swap them out for a Dell HBA330 true IT-mode storage controller. Your future self will thank you. They are cheap to get.

Aalexskysilk replied to the thread H740p mini and SAS Intel SSD PX05SMB040.I just noticed this little bit for the drive in slot 0 you will need to reformat this disk before you can use it. its possible that the controller firmware will not let you map it until you do; so you will need to plug the drive into a real HBA...
