To add a custom backup time like every day at 23:00, you need to use the Custom option in the Schedule field.
Steps:
Go to Datacenter → Backup.
Click Add or Edit on your backup job.
In the Schedule drop-down
Now you can type your own time...
When you run the installer, what version number does it say at the top for the plugin? The one you linked is v1.2.3 which looks to have the correct changes.

It uses Debian user space but a kernel based on Ubuntu. Since drivers and hardware support come with the kernel, use a Ubuntu Live Installer to test for hardware support.

One more case here.
AMD X570 motherboard. The WCN7850 works baremetal with 16 MSI vectors. In any guest system, it only has 1 MSI vector and doesn't work.
