I would prefer the second one since with that you don't need a network connection for the verify and garbage-collection jobs. The German forum had a thread on it...

Update: I finally found the issue (i think) this is what i did, for those that may stumble across this thread. I went in and rechecked the esxi host and saw that a snapshot had been created, i think by our backup manager, proxmox does not like...

If you say so... The server has two network interfaces, a cable based one and a wireless adapter. Both report state DOWN. Which one were you using to connect the server to the network? And would you like to post the content of file...

All the cables should be plugged in fine as it used to work fine. ip a returns: 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet...

I have QTY7 Proxmox nodes running on single SSD/NVMe drives in my Homelab, for approx. 4 years now. I do keep meticulous triple PBS backups of the guests, and figure that if the Proxmox host drive fails it's simple enough to rebuild, with the...

Ideal? No! Acceptable? Maybe! It always depends on your expectations! I have some nodes (in a cluster) which boots from a single device. (Because of the restrictions of a Mini-PC in a $Homelab.) But the hosted VMs live on a redundant one...

I stand corrected. looks like you can either stick with the current deployment with no updates or support or pay AIStor. I know that's not helpful in your usecase- but considering the non commercial nature of what you provide I'd be looking at...

The question is what is it that you are trying to achieve there? As in which servers/applications do you have in mind to run on the system.? Also I assume that you do not have an unlimited budget, in which case I would forget about the enterprise...

Ah alright, my main use is basically home assistant and pihole and a small windows VM that will barely be powered on so I’m just gonna go with a single large SSD. I’ll also install proxmox backup server on a spare computer I have and make backups...

Have you checked that all cables are plugged in correctly at the server and the switch/router? Run the command ip a on the server and post the output here.

The best course of Action would propably be to get an external USB enclosure, install one of the discs in it and add it as removable datastore. Afterwards create a syncc-job to sync the backups from one disc to the other. Personally I would put...

Proxmox is all about the stability of the system, above all else. Real corporations are depending on this system to run the IT of their business, so no, the dashboard shouldn't be editable. Pay for the subscription will get rid of the 'nag' and...
