Ah i see, i can simply assign the nic to individual vm.
@celemine1gig thanks for the tip. I was too busy thinking about bifurcation... Thanks never mind then!
Was a problem with apt-cacher-ng seems not to be proxmox related. Thanks for the help though!
Updated the apt-cacher-ng server and then it worked fine.
Quite weird, indeed. For a comparison, just a few days ago I made a clone of a running Linux VM and after I started the clone, it was a "carbon copy" (minus the MAC address of course) of the original VM to the moment of cloning, even the logs...
Hello all,
I am trying to update my Intel I350-4 network adapter and I am getting an error that says:
Error: Connection to QV driver failed - please reinstall it!
Proxmox is up to date, with no updates to be installed. Why is this happening...
I found the root cause for this issue.
I migrated a virtual NAS to this host and the disks of this NAS are visible for LVM which throws this error.
I excluded the devices from the virtual NAS in the lvm.conf which solved it.

Hi,
Thanks for the hint with the guest agent. Now I updated my vm with the guest agent but still have problems when cloning. No matter how I do clone (from running or stopped or shutdown, with or without sync) and with the actual or any other...
I am thinking about installing a Free open-source GUI firewall for Proxmox home lab use. The use case is to monitor internet usage of my children. I am not much skilled in CLI based firewall administration. May I know what is the best GUI based...
Sorry everyone been busy but here's the new updated code, this really shouldn't be happening and I can only hope the proxmox devs will stop doing this because it is irritating and people will go out of their way to stop nonsense like this and...
