hey all!
I bought a dual NVME drive bay that has the exact same controller (name, serial etc...) and i added 2 drives to it, those being samsung 990 evo plus that i plan on using as back up and random file storage
with that being said, i have made a ZFS pool with the 2 drives that after a while its getting degraded and showing this:

I have played around with settings and got it offline and cant seem to bring it back...

What else can I do to fix it?
Thanks in advanced! :)

If it's a USB interface, it's well known as not reliable. You'll have to find a different way, it will never be stable.
what are my options really?
will hardware raid work better?
what if i use a lxc to make a software raid and SMB share?

BTW im using a RPi 5 8GB

im using arm64 port
Which is still not an offical port but an independant project. Do you really want to save your backups on a setup which is not supported? I would setup a PBS vm on your PVE Host and add the bay as removable datastore.
