Dear All,
Has anyone successfully connected a proxmox cluster to a pure storage flash array via zfs over iscsi? We are struggling to find instructions on how this is done, if indeed it can be done. Looking at the matrix of supported protocols/formats, it seems we are limited to ceph or zfs over iscsi for our requirements. We have posed this question to Pure Storage too, and they (so far) have deflected us to proxmox support. The issue (suspicion) seems to be the PS unit does not have the ability to handle the ssh connection to the lun. LVM looks like it will work with a plug in, but that's a show stopper for us as it seems not to support snapshots or thin provisioning, whilst lvm-thin seems not to be supported over iscsi.
Any help or clarification would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards
OPSS

For your environment, the bast solution is iSCSI with Shared LVM. Althought it's lack of VM snapshot support, but you may consider use Pure Storage's snapshot instead.
