Code:
# zfs list -t snapshot
NAME USED AVAIL REFER MOUNTPOINT
rpool@migrate 0B - 96K -
rpool/ROOT@migrate 0B - 96K -
rpool/ROOT/pve-1@migrate 6.25G - 86.1G -
rpool/data@migrate 0B - 96K -
rpool/data/base-121-disk-0@__base__ 0B - 4.23G -
rpool/data/base-121-disk-0@migrate 0B - 4.23G -
rpool/data/vm-122-disk-0@migrate 0B - 4.46G -
rpool/var-lib-vz@migrate 16.5G - 75.9G -

I see a sudden decrease in my rpool's freespace

1. Is it safe to delete those that end with @migrate? In particular, rpool/ROOT/pve-1@migrate and rpool/var-lib-vz@migrate?
2. Is there something in the background that made @migrate? apt update/upgrade?

Those are snapshots named "migrate". Whoever created these might have had a reason. Are you the owner of said machine? Take a look into each of these VMs:

You should see the snapshots there. Do you know what a snapshot is and does and is made for?

How about judging based on the date it was created?

According to my prediction, it will display August 2025, and the cause is an operation you performed yourself.

Code:
zfs list rpool -t snapshot -o name,creation

Snapshots are only created when using commands like `zfs snapshot -r` to create a `migrate` under an rpool in a recursive manner.
