ZFS filesystem cannot store ISO's?

I have a test install of proxmox 4 and I created a ZFS raidz1 for data use (this raidz1 is not proxmox boot).

When adding the ZFS storage through the proxmox storage gui, only options are "container, disk image" and "container". Seems I cannot store ISO images.

Is this by design to not give the ability to store ISO images?

I don't know the reason for that design decision, but you can certainly create local storage on the ZFS volume, and store the ISOs there.

You define it as local storage, and just make sure the local folder is located somewhere on the ZFS file system.

When you select ZFS VM storage it means a block device called a Zvol which is akin to a .raw or .qcow2 storage, neither of which you can store an ISO on without mounting them first.

By mentioning <<create local storage>> you mean from datacenter->Add storage->Directory? Only way i managed to store isos to the zpool was that butttt it auto generates a space of 6!!!!! gb by itself in a room of 1tb. Is there a better practice or another way of doing what you mention?
