CD was ejected automatically when trying to burn the ISO installer file. It works fine for another Linux based rescue ISO.

I mean, that really does not sounds like a Proxmox VE issue...
Single thing I can immagine is: you really use a CD with around 700MB space, not a DVD. Proxmox VE 6.x doesn't fits on a CD anymore..
FWIW, we just recently burned a 6.0 ISO to a DVD to reproduce some issues with old HW, worked just fine
