wireguard installation

Hello all

I am trying to install wireguard on my proxmox 8 server.

I am following a youtube video to install wireguard using the helper scrips at;
root@pve:~#

and i paste the bash crips: bash -c "$(wget -qLO - https://github.com/tteck/Proxmox/raw/main/ct/wireguard.sh)"

the shell returns the prompt with out installing

What am i missing ?

Old Script. Use community-scripts not tteck.

I found this script at this site https://community-scripts.github.io/ProxmoxVE/scripts?id=wireguard when i searched for community-scripts and i copied the following in a pve shell

bash -c "$(wget -qLO - https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/raw/main/ct/wireguard.sh)"

and i have the same result. The shell returns a prompt only with no additional message

Can you Ping GitHub? Looks Like an DNS Block

Why not use apt install wireguard as shown here (as Proxmox is based on Debian with Ubuntu kernel): https://wiki.debian.org/WireGuard ?
Maybe people here can help you with script issues: https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/discussions ?

Its not an Script issue. Its an DNS issue

Hello all

Thank you for these replies.

I verified my DNS settings on my router and they are 192.168.1.1 andn 8.8.8.8

I did ping github.com from all my pcs and it worked. I pinged fro tailscale Lxc and HA and truenas shells and it worked It did not work in the PVE shell.

I tried to change the dns setting in pve and they are called home 192.168.1.1 and 8.8.8.8

Now I must have screwed the pooch

I'm on a dellr720

I had en0 with a gateway setting of 192.168.1.1 and a vn0 pairred to en0 wn1 an ip address of 192.168.1.121/24. I delered vm1 and added the cdr to en0 of 182.168.1.121/24

I rebooted proxmox

I did get logon screen with the https://192.168.1.121:8006

when i enter this in a browser i cannot connect to proxmox

furthermore i now see that my en0 port on myserver no longer works

I'm really up a creek what do i do now?
