Wipe Disk function

Hi everyone,

I'm installing scrypted NVR and following the instructions here to do this as a VE volume.

It's telling me to 'Wipe Disk' pretty early on, but as that disk is also where I store all my docker containers etc, I'm trying to figure out of this is effectively going to wipe my Proxmox?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm a bit of a novice! Ideally I'd just set up a partition, however it doesn't seem to let me do this without first wiping the disk.

Welcome any thoughts, and sorry if this question is as obvious as I think it is!

Probably yes. If the other software wants to use the whole disk, you already used there are only two options:

• don't do it
• move the files out of the way
