Hi guys, I have four Windows Server 2012 VM's on a Proxmox. All of them are connected to a bridge vmbr1. I gave them a static ip and the adress of the first one as DNS Server for the rest of them. I am trying to ping each other but that does not happen except for the first one. Is there something special to consider?

Is DNS Server properly setup on the first VM?
Does Windows VMs have multiple vNIC? If they do, may be make sure you have assigned IP address to the correct vNIC.

The first problem was because of the Windows firewall itself. I installed a dns server and dhcp server on the first machine and promoted it to domain controller. The connection between the first and the last machine works fine. The second machine has "autoconfiguration Ip4 Address", which I can not disable and a second ip address, the one that I would like to have, in which stayes (preffered). How could I disable the autoconfiguration address. All the machines are running in vmbr1 so they do not have any real connection to the Internet, as I still have not installed the VPN. So I have no real Forwarded Address for my DNS. Could this be a problem. I tried ipconfig/renew and ipconfig/release, but I get some error message.
