When setting up a new VM on PVE 6.1-8, I have quite a few options, qxl isn't one of them.

Is SPICE the best option for general use?

Does anyone have a list of their favorite options for small, medium & large W10 VMs?

For us, we have several use cases:
QuickBooks server only, no client piece (small - medium)
SQL server for relatively small databases - typically CRMs (small - medium)
Remote desktop users running QuickBooks, Office & CRM client (large)
W10 Console using GPU pass through (medium + passthrough)

'SPICE' is 'qxl'. It's just a mapping for the GUI to make it clear that it is required to use SPICE with this VM.

I suggest just leaving the default for these, as the use case probably won't involve graphically intensive work.

Remote desktop shouldn't be affected by the VGA selection.

W10 Console using GPU pass through (medium + passthrough)
In this case 'none' would be the best option, as the guest can use the passed-through GPU anyway, so no need for the overhead of also emulating one.

Muchas gracias
