hello,

we have some problems with windows 7 vm (not tested with others, yet).

we install and update the vms, do a snapshot with RAM included, while the machine is running.

when we rollback to this snapshot a few days later the vm is running much too fast.
its not only the clock which runs about 1 minute in 5 seconds.
every process runs too fast, like in somekind of fast-forward mode :)

so, do we miss something? should the described process work at all?

we use a 3 node proxmox 3.0 (pve-manager/3.0/957f0862)

thanks.
Kind Regards
Sebastian

thank you for the quick answer.

well, but it keeps on running when it arrives at the present time.
also when using ntp to set the time manually it keeps on running forward.

and its not only the time that runs so fast, it seems the cpu is running faster too.
when you look at the taskman, the graphs run (at least) twice as fast,
and the coursor on the cmd is blinking more rapidly.

to me it looks like the vm tries to "process" the missed cpu-ticks since the snapshot or something like this..?

we already tried to set the "Guest Time drift" option mentioned in the wiki (http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Guest_Time_drift)

do you have any further advices?

thanks
Sebastian
