Windows server will not boot after ESX migration after changing drives from SATA to SCSI in Proxmox

Windows virtual server that i migrated from esx fails to boot where sysvol is on the D drive because the D drive becomes disabled after changing drives from SATA to SCSCI in Proxmox. Same server boots fine as SATA drives. I have migrated other windows servers and booted fine, and I just had to enable any secondary drives in Disk Management after first login. Is there a way to prevent the secondary drives from being disabled when migrating from esx or during the switch from SATA to SCSI?
