We wanted to install a win2012 ts server but we could not get the "remote desktop virtualization host" working. windows says it is allready inside a virtualization...
i think this is because win2012 needs nested virtualization.
i was reading that the proxmox kernel does not support this. only > 3.x kernels can do this...
am i wrong and can i install remote desktop virtualization host without nested virtualization? or some win2012 tricks?

or has somebody other kernels then the standard proxmox 2.3.32? is it working stable with another kenrnel? what issues can i have?

regards
philipp

I presume thats the VDI features in 2012TS - is it possible to disable them and just use the Terminal Server feature?

i am not the windows guy... but my colleagues say that this is the new thing about windows 2012... its not terminal services anymore....
to be honest - at the moment you cannot install windows2012 rds on hyper v (only on vmware) but its just a question of time when it will work because hyper v is evolving very fast and going agressive in the market...
in kvm it should work with nested virtualization- i am just missing this option in the proxmox kernel.i think proxmox needs to implement such important features not ending up like a pure linux virtualization (and maybe some small windows installations..)

Yah, sometimes feels like the Containers are holding the KVM side back.

I installed 2012 TS myself, then wiped it and went with 2008R2 as I only wanted the Terminal Server and found the management tools really screwed up on 2012. Impossible for me to decipher the simple tasks of setting up remote desktops and apps and monitoring who was using the system. All simple tasks on 2008.
