Will enabling shared for a backup storage do this?

After installing an HD Pull out bay to hold a 2TB HD for backups on Promox host node A. I added this under storage to be used only for backups. I also enabled shared for this backup storage.

I have two promox host nodes, both are clustered without using HA. From the web gui expanding proxmox host node B, I can see the attached backup storage I added. My question is this, I have 5 virtual machines running on promox host node A and 6 virtual machines running on proxmox host node B. If I create a scheduled backup to backup all running virtual machines from both nodes will it dump the backups onto the 2TB HD, drive installed on Proxmox host node A, for all virtual machines?

No. This might be a little misleading, but the PVE won't automatically share it for other nodes. Shared storage means accessible on the network by more than a single host. That is, you need to share it via NFS, for instance. After that you can add an NFS storage pointing to your share, which in turn can be flagged 'shared'. It'll be mounted on both hosts via NFS if you set it to accessible by all hosts in the add storage modal.
