Why does proxmox automatically change hardware ethernet after it's been installed ?

I disabled my onboard ethernet thinking I'd be able to have it be setup as eth1 when I re-enabled it via bios. But yet after I freshly installed proxmox 2.1 and rebooted and re-enabled onboard it now switched to ETH0 after ETH0 was setup and configured via a plug-in card which is now eth1 just by doing a reboot.

Thanks I figured they had to be MAP'd just making sure. Be nice if this was just in the setup process as in my other issue with eth0:vmbr0 forced management mapping :o
