Why am I losing packets

I have a 2.5G NIC (i226 - https://a.co/d/0bzTzIDA) connected to a Unifi 2.5G switch (USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE). It's currently using a bonding setup as shown in the pic, but I'm losing connectivity to the VM (packets are being dropped) frequently, and I am not sure why. Connectivity comes back after a few, but it is annoying that you are SSHing into the servers and typing something has lag, or accessing something over the web, and the page does not work until a few.

I had a 10G NIC connected to a 1G Unifi Switch (USW-16-POE) and never had this issue before. Can I get some ideas on what could be happening here and how to fix it?

You have selected balance-rr for the bond. That will work outbound but who knows what happens inbound! What is the bond doing for you? You only mention one switch so redundancy is not an option. You only mention one VM so throughput is not an option either.

I suggest you dump the bond. If there is more to this then deploy LACP (I'm fairly sure but not certain that Unifi gear will support LACP) You will have to work out matching hashing algorithms.
