Which network card does Proxmox use when is installed in a laptop?

Hello,
I am thinking of installing Proxmox for use in a laptop with Debian and as it has 2 network cards (the ethernet cabled one and the WIFI one), I was wondering which one will be used by Proxmox.

So, would it be possible that the host desktop uses WIFI and Proxmox keep using the ethernet (cabled) connection?
