Under summary on my local disk it says that 85GB is used. But I only have 1 VM that is 32GB on that disk.
Mount point for that disk is /var/lib/pve/local-btrfs
And it says 34GB is used under /var

Running "du -hs * | sort -hr" shows this. Not even close to 85GB

165G mnt -> This is a USB drive used for backups
34G var
3.9G usr
353M boot
43M dev
6.3M etc
1012K run
44K root
4.0K sbin
4.0K lib64
4.0K lib
4.0K deb
4.0K bin
0 tmp
0 sys
0 srv
0 proc
0 opt

Hi,

please post the output of df -h, lsblk and btrfs filesystem usage /, that should give us a better picture of the situation.
Also, do you have any snapshots on that one VM?

Mount point for that disk is /var/lib/pve/local-btrfs
Please be aware that for Btrfs-on-root installs, it's always the size/usage of the whole Btrfs volume.

No snapshat that I know of. How can I check that?

And as you can see in my first post the usage only gives around 43GB on my Proxmox/VM disk

Per Btrfs ~80GiB are allocated on the root volume, and again you have to substract 32GiB from that because of the VM.
So you still got ~48GiB unaccounted, which is still a lot for a Debian/Proxmox VE installation.
Do you have local backups and/or ISOs? These normally also take a lot of space

Please also post the output of du -hd1 /var/{lib,log}/ | sort -h.

Under Summary it said 66GB usage1 month ago. Now its 85GB so it har grow 19GB in a month. But where is that data?
I have no other VM, ISO's och backups stored on this disk.
Only Proxmox and one 32GB VM
