Hi All,

I discover that all domains protected by Proxmox Mail Gateway appear to be listed in:

"xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxis DNSBL Listed by t1.bl.reynolds.net.au"

I see in logs a lot of communications blocked by this spam database and it's impossible to exclude an listed IP.

from my opinion I think it's a big error on that database; I make a test to strange IP's like 11.12.13.14...and belive it or not...is listed (see attachment)

What we can do in this case?

we appear to be listed. I'm worry because I believe that PMG have a vulnerability and someone exploit this...

In my firewalls, only PMG have access to Outgoing TCP 25. All other servers who need to send mails are send trough him...

I'm not sure. I use a webservice who monitor my public IP's and all was listed in the same time. These IP's are nor in the same location or to the same provider - 4 ISP.

I think it's something wrong in this database some servers use this blacklist database to verify a mailserver.

All that I know is some destination refuse communication from this reason. Maybe someone else have the same problem...

Hi guys,

Just a comment from the operator of bl.reynolds.net.au - Those DNSBL servers were disabled approximately 5 years ago and we are continuing to see a high number of DNS requests against the domain for hosts within that name space.

As this is putting undue load on our name servers, we have elected to return false positive results for all queries to any address within the bl.reynolds.net.au namespace.

If you are affected by this, contact your MTA vendor and/or mail provider and ensure they are NOT listing any of the bl.reynolds.net.au hosts in their RBL checks.

We have also discontinued the dnsbl.net.au RBL however we have been able to simply remove the name servers from the registry for that domain and would recommend removal of all dnsbl.net.au hosts from RBL checks also.

Hi If I understand your message above correctly: You are saying that the list of bl.reynolds.net.au is no longer in use? And if someone finds that their domain is being affected by showing up in a list or registry associated with t1.bl.reynolds.net.au that they should contact their intranet service provider? Is this correct?

A colleague of mine has informed me that my server's domain has show up listed in a DNSBL list by t1.bl.reynolds.net.au? I ve been looking all over the intranet to find a contact website or phone number to reach the administration staff of this list. I'm finding nothing at all?

Should I be contacting Shaw Cable who is my intranet provider?

Thank you so much for your help and any assistance you can offer!

Sincerely,

Liz

No, you should contact the admin of the site which blocks you.
