[SOLVED] What needs to be configured to see IP address of windows vm

Hello, I would like to ask what needs to be installed/configured on a windows vm to see the IP address of it from summary page? I installed qemu-guest for linux vms and i can see ip address on them. But not for windows.

Hello,
you need to install the virtio guest tools, like these https://fedorapeople.org/groups/vir...ownloads/archive-virtio/virtio-win-0.1.266-1/
There are also drivers available and needed for best performance.
Just download the iso and install both.

For IP informations the guest-agent is required. Also for rebooting or shutting down the VM properly.

Thank you all. I actually installed all of those but I missed out this part in the VM configuration
Options --> QEMU Guest Agent --> Set to Enabled.
This allows me to see the IP address from summary page
