What does Proxmox require HW wise?

Maybe I will buy a new used Server to temporary install Proxmox to test the System until I finally switch to it.
So what does the OS Requiere? Like the SSD as an Raid or does Proxmox can create an Virtual Drive by Splitting the Data across "all" drives?
What should I also consider when I buy a used Server when it come to Proxmox?

It support different kinds of storage: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#chapter_storage . Virtualization has some overhead but can improve hardware utilization (compare to separate systems) and it very much depends on what VMs you are going to run. CPU over-subscription usually works fine (but can slow things down relatively) but memory/RAM over-commit always causes problems.

You can install using various ZFS options, or not use ZFS. ZFS mirroring or ZFS RAID is not compatible with hardware RAID as noted in the docs.
