All my NAS is homebuilt ZFS across Linux/PC and Macs, but I use Ironwolf and Exos (budget) drives, plus Toshiba N300 and MG series drives for speed. Always use NAS-rated drives for ZFS.
Networking = 1Gig, 2.5Gig and 10Gbit ethernet (fiber and a couple of 10-baseT) on separate/segregated switches for speed. 10Gbit is point-to-point aggregated thru a 4-port SFP+ Qotom firewall appliance running Proxmox.
For nvme (homelab) I can recommend Lexar NM790.
2.5-inch SSD, these days I go with used Enterprise drives off ebay. Used to use Samsung Pro series but it got to be more expensive.
