Hi all,
I've tried migrating an LXC container from one host to another and everything seems fine until I pct enter the box from the host. I then seem to have a weird terminal issue, with odd characters appearing in top and random stuff on the input line after you close things, here is an example:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
☼ 1 root 20 0 56948 4804 3476 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.17 systemd
☼
☼ 37 root 20 0 46096 6252 5816 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.09 systemd-journal
☼
☼ 72 root 20 0 250144 1996 1604 S 0.0 0.0 0:00.04 rsyslogd
vim is unusable etc.
The only difference I can think between the two hosts is one was directory FS and the new one is ZFS.
The strangest thing is if I ssh directly into the migrated box, or use VNC everything is fine.
Any ideas why this would happen? Sorry if I haven't explained myself properly. I've been unable to search for an answer due to a lack of vocabulary to describe the problem!
Regards
Niki
