Greting everyone!

I am sorry if this post is in the wrong thread, I am new around here. I have this weird issue with my proxmox setup. I run opnsense firewall in a vm inside proxmox, but during my attempt to enter the shell via vnc that is built in inside proxmox I have encountered something strange. I upload a screenshot below. Currently I can not enter vnc mode. Does anyone else had a problem like this? I am grateful for any help, I can get!

King Regards

Mikhail

Hi,

can you please post the output of pveversion -v?
Did you change any files on the host (except configuration files), ran some third-party script etc.?

Thank you for such a quick response! The only thing that I have edited was the /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl-base/IO/Socket/INET.pm line 6 / where it said use it used to say u^e. I never used any scripts and never ran 3rd party software exept opnsense in a vm, second vm (ubuntu server that is not even installed) is new and was created after error appeared . I upload 2 screenshots below. Thank you again in advance!

You can try reinstalling the package that provides this file and see if it fixes it. That overwrites the file with a known-good version.
Code:
apt reinstall perl-base

And then try running opening the noVNC console again.

Great!

Please just mark the thread as SOLVED by editing the first post (there should be a dropdown near the title), so that others with the same problem can find it more easily in the future! :)
