I have installed proxmox 3 times now on 3 different hardware setups.
The first one was a trial on a laptop with i7-3615QE processor and 16GB RAM. This install was on a 500GB SSD (non-zfs) and only had proxmox host and 2 lxc's.
The second was my first real "home server" with i7-9700 after using i3-8100 processor; 32GB RAM. The install was on a 250GB NVME (non-zfs) and only had proxmox host and 2 lxc's.
Now my current home server is a poweredge r420 with 2x Xeon E5-2430 and 192GB RAM. The install is on a 250GB SSD (non-zfs) and only has proxmox host, 2 lxc's and 1 vm. I have a zfs pool but the lxc/vm are not stored there. I have my nfs, tftp, smb lxc bind mounted to the zfs pool and currently it is not undergoing much IO since it isn't "live" yet on my network.
Between the i7-3615QE and the i7-9700 those proxmox web gui's were very responsive. The web gui on my r420 has a bit of delay when selecting the vm or lxc to look at their summary pages.
Is there something I missed that would either cause the issue I am seeing or at least fix it? I find it strange that a technically stronger cpu setup would have trouble with a web gui's response time.
Thanks all. I really appreciate the wonderful help I have found and received from this forum to date.
