vzmigrate

Hello,

I am trying to move a container from one proxmox system to another but the destiation node is already using the CT / VE number. So I attempted the connection:

vzmigrate --online xxx.ukhost4u.com 105:102

But I got the error:

Error: Can't read global config or CT #105:102 config file

This would normally be how I would do it with Virtuozzo, but is it different with Proxmox?

Hi,

I do not think it is possible to use vzmigrate to change the VEID for the container, i think you will need to look into the command 'vzdump' instead.

I belive that is the only solution for changing VEID, without manualy configuring different .conf files.
