Hello,

I want to backup a Windows VM to an external Storage.
This worked at the beginning like a charm, but since few weeks, the /tmp folder is filling up quickly.
In my configuration, /tmp is only 4gb, so the backup is running in a failure very quickly.

this is my config:

Hi,
what exactly takes up the space in /tmp? VM backups do not use temporary directories for data (only fleecing images on a storage if that is configured). Please share the full VM backup task log.

Hey Fiona,

thank you for your answer.
I found the reason, why tmp was used.
I use rclone to encrypt my secondary backup which is stored in another location.
Rclone used to cache the files in tmp and that is why the backup with proxmox backup server was working as expected, but the addional one not.

Thank you for the hint and the support!
