hello, tried to restore a vz to a new ceph node
Code:
extracting archive '/mnt/pve/nfs-pve/dump/vzdump-openvz-135-2014_06_20-22_00_02.tar.lzo'Total bytes read: 706396160 (674MiB, 137MiB/s)
restore configuration to '/etc/pve/nodes/ceph1-ib/openvz/135.conf'
TASK ERROR: command 'vzctl --skiplock --quiet set 135 --applyconfig_map name --save' failed: exit code 5

The vz does not show up at pve > local storage.

yet is on disk per cli at /var/lib/vz/private and /var/lib/vz/root

any clues or suggestions to fix this?

we're using up to date pve software .

Re: vz restore issue

What do you mean by restored VZ on Ceph node? On RBD or CephFS?

VZ cannot be stored on Ceph RBD.

Edit: Looking back at your post, i think by Ceph node you meant on local storage of Proxmox+Ceph node?

Re: vz restore issue

Never mind, I has vz turned off so the node would reboot faster, with vz on adds a few minutes to reboot due to hung vz mod process.

Re: vz restore issue

Hello symmcom,
the issue was caused by having vz turned off.. rebooting nodes is a lot faster with off as usually there is a hung process that needs to time out..

and storage used is local.

thanks for the help!
