Hi All,

I have SAN storage I am using that houses our VMs which we are migrating to PROXMOX

How do I add that storage to proxmox?

I already added storage that is dedicated to only proxmox via a volume and it is recognized by the SAN and proxmox already.

it is an IBM 2145 SAN...

Are you asking about Proxmox ESXi Import process?

What has changed since this thread? https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/new-installation-connecting-to-existing-fc-san.174046/#post-809514

Blockbridge : Ultra low latency all-NVME shared storage for Proxmox - https://www.blockbridge.com/proxmox
I got the proxmox to recognize the storage as I started from scratch and added it back and zoned everything

Then I did the same for the shared storage and I see that in VMWARE and was able to migrate a vm to the shared storage

BTW I am an AS400 admin by default plus I am pretty good with Windows but proxmox/unix/linux are like a new language which I am stumbling with

"lsblk" is a Linux tool that shows block level devices recognized by Linux Kernel.

The ESXi Import Wizard is an API driven application built by PVE developers. It uses API to transfer data over the network from ESXi to PVE. There is no new block storage involved here. You did not need to migrate ESXi VMs to shared storage to enable migration to PVE.
