Hi All,

I just have a quick question, in VMware we have the Snapshot Manager where we can take a quick snapshot of a particular VM and could revert back to that snapshot at any time if we need to. it is also possible to take more than one snapshot per VM at different stages of the installation/configuration.

Is that possible with Proxmox 1.4 in any way? If not is there any alternative method that we could use to achieve the same thing?

Many thanks for your help and support.

Well, we have no web interface for that. But if you use at least one qcow2 disk you can manually create snapshots using monitor commands, see:

Hi,

I am not sure what qcow2 disk is and how to create one (if not created by default when we install Proxmox 1.4). I will read the link you posted and find out more.

Don't you think it would be beneficial if we could create a web interface to do that?

Thanks

'qcow2' is the disk format - you can select the format when you create the VM ('raw' or 'qcow2').

So far we had no time to work on that.
