Could someone please clarify the limitations associated with utilizing Proxmox in a test lab environment without a license?
I would appreciate insights on the following aspects:
1. Limitations virtual machines (VMs)
2. Limitations concerning clusters
3. Limitations related to nodes
4. Limitations in terms of hardware

The license of Proxmox VE is always the same, primarily the AGPv3. We do sell subscriptions ;)

There are no differences in limitations or features, no matter if a subscription is applied or not. Once you use it in production, subscriptions are recommended, as they give you access to the enterprise update repository with the best tested updates.

Hi @aaron

Could you please share the minimum or approximate number of virtual machines (VMs) that can be created in Un subscription proxmox?

Hi,
@aaron already mentioned that there is no limitation. This does not depend on whether you have a subscription or not.

For a tongue-in-cheek answer: a guest ID is a number between 100 and 999999999, so you can create up to 999999899 guests. Of course, you might hit the size limit of the cluster file system first, which is 128 MiB currently, or more likely, your hardware/system cannot handle that many guests in the first place.
