Hi, i'm new to all this so please bear with me. I've deployed a proxmox VM on hyper v on my desktop for testing/learning. I've attached an external switch to the VM and proxmox has internet access. The problem comes when i'm trying to deploy ubuntu server on proxmox, it fails to obtain an IP via DHCP during setup and I don't know why. it's using a bridge that's connected to my network device that proxmox is using. I also tried adding the network details to ubuntu manually, which it seems to accept, but then I still don't have internet access. Due to my limited networking knowledge, i'm not sure where to go from here

Hi,

To help you better, please provide us with the Proxmox VE network configuration `cat /etc/network/interfaces` and the VM config `qm config <VMID>` replace the `<VMID>` with the ID of the VM mentioned. That can help us to identify if the issue is in the network config or the VM config.
