Hi, I had one VM (Ubuntu) running on ESXI 6.0 for several years. I recently installed proxmox 8.4 on a new physical server. All the guest tools were uninstalled from the VM in ESXI. I performed an import of the VM from esxi to proxmox using the migration tool. However, when I'm trying to boot the Ubuntu server on proxmox, I'm having some issues.

I'm getting the following messages and the server doesn't actually boot. I can't actually get into the VM.

Questions.
1. Should I have updated the esxi 6.0 to a later version before importing?
2. Is there another way of moving VM into proxmox?

Appreciate any help I can get as really want to move to proxmox.

Thanks
AkaSteve

mdadm is a software raid.
Isn't it a little bit useless in a virtual environment? Or is this log entry just an unrelated error?
If you really have a software raid, you should migrate the vm (after backing it up) to a single disk and migrate to proxmox afterwards.
