Hello, I'd like to share a problem may someone can help. I purchased a dedicated server service from "Contabo" which comes with Linux and Proxmox already installed. The server has a default static IP address, and I also purchased another static IP for a different use: assigning it to a Linux VM (Ubuntu, Debian, or any other distribution). Currently, I'm having this trouble: While I can configure the second IP address in the configuration file (Proxmox server), and it responds to pings and allows me to access the server (Proxmox server) via SSH, I can't use it in a VM. I mean, I assign to it, but I can not download packages from internet or login from the outise.
The configuration is set to vmbr1, but when I create the VM and assign that interface, it doesn't receive internet access.
If needed, I can publish the configuration file with the IP addresses modified for privacy reasons.
However, I understand this should be a simple initial configuration. If anyone wants to share a working example, that would also be helpful.
Thank you very much in advance.
