Hi guys, how are you?.. my name is Marcos and I require your valuable support please... I was given the task to migrate a VM with linux slackware 14.2 - x64 and asterisk 11.25.3 from a VMware ESXI 6.7.0 U2 to proxmox.

And it happens the load average cpu when the VM run in vmware is 15.0 with 70 simultaneous calls or more and works fine, the voice over ip does not degrade with 8 vcpu.

However when running the same VM in proxmox ve 8.2.2 the load average cpu doubles to 38.0 with the same calls or more even with double the number of vcpu and the voice over ip degrades.

What am I doing wrong?... my storage configuration is not the right one or is it my VM configuration?...

I share some details of the nodes and the configuration of the VM, there is no packet loss in the network switches and disk access does not indicate that there is any bottleneck, everything seems to point to the process management (CPU) of kvm...

Thanks in advance for all help provided...

Hey, maybe the cpu type in vm.conf is 'wrong'? Have you tried 'host'?

Just an idea.

Try turning off NUMA control. I see you are using it - if this is intentional - tell us why.
