VM recovery

I'm new to proxmox, I'm try to test VM recovery. I'm using FC storage as LVM, where the vm disk is there. I've created a snapshot. Using backup, VM recovery done.
Need to know, how to recover a deleted VM using VM snapshot?

If you deleted the vm, the snapshot volumes are deleted too. Nothing to restore the vm from then.

That's what backups are for ;-)

Snapshots do not count for that. Be it LVM or ZFS or QCOW or xyz...

Edit, not mentioned yet: when I do delete a VM I want to be sure that all data is actually gone! If there are rudiments left over then the mechanism is defect!
