I had a question earlier about bandwidth management on Proxmox, and the answer was that basically there is none, for the time being anyway. So I did some reading and managed to cook up some scripts that do it for me. Still those scripts are partially VM specific and when I migrate a VM the respective scripts must follow it.
So I'd like to know if there is some way of doing that automatically on Proxmox. And if there isn't, I'd like to know if it's something the staff would consider adding in the near future. After all, the way I see it, it would fairly simple to implement. Just associate a little piece of text with a particular VM and execute it whenever a migration is required.
The VM creation interface could also use the ability to execute custom commands. Each time I create a VM I have to go to the shell to set the IO priority.
